This video provides an overview of the Player Overview Report included in the Just Play Advanced Analytics package, using St. John's player Kadari Richmond as an example. The report is designed to help coaching staffs quickly evaluate player performance and tendencies early in the scouting process.
Key features of the report include:
Statistical Trends (0:19 - 1:04): A dynamic line graph that allows users to track performance metrics (like points and assists) on a game-by-game basis. It helps identify high-performing games for further video review.
Lineup Analysis (1:05 - 1:34): Displays a player's top three most frequent lineups, including points per possession and overall plus-minus, to help diagnose positioning and chemistry.
Shooting Selection (1:35 - 2:42): Visualizes shot locations and efficiency (at the rim, in the paint, or three-pointers). It also breaks down whether makes were assisted or unassisted, which helps coaches determine how to defend a specific player.
Printable Format (2:43 - 3:19): The report can be exported as a clean, one-page PDF, allowing assistants to easily share a player's profile with head coaches during the scouting process.
